Chinese authorities have thwarted a counterfeiting operation that was providing fake packaging, preventing the manufacturing of counterfeit printing supplies for HP printers.

	Several premises in Guangdong province raided In several cities in Southern China, officials raided a total of four premises, which had been used in the counterfeiting operation. This included residential sites as well as commercial buildings.
	Tens of thousands of fake items found and seized The officials found numerous counterfeit packaging items for manufacturing counterfeit cartridges, such as fake toner boxes and counterfeit labels. All in all, they seized over 70,000 illegal items.
