With a remarkable string of simultaneous raid actions, Chinese authorities have successfully taken action against a massive counterfeiting ring that was manufacturing and distributing counterfeit cartridges for HP printers.

Multiple raids in Dalian area

On just one single day in April, Chinese officials raided a total of 13 interconnected sites which were used by the counterfeiting network. The raided premises include retail store, warehouse, and workshop facilities, all located in the area of the city of Dalian.

About 56,000 items seized

With the impressive series of actions, the authorities seized a total of about 56,000 illegal items. This includes ready-for-sale counterfeit toner cartridges as well as components for assembling counterfeits, possibly preventing thousands of counterfeit cartridges from hitting the markets.
